Nestled in the heart of Hertfordshire and just an hour from London are the beautiful grounds and historic manor house of Stanstead Bury. We have exclusive use of the three fields on site which provide a stunning backdrop for a unique, exceptional wedding day. Choose from one of our four types of wedding marquee to personalise your day and with charming gardens and breathtaking views, you will truly be able to make the day your own.

Our Hertfordshire wedding venue is very accessible, with excellent transport links for your guests to reach us by road, train and plane. We’re just 25 minutes away from both the M25 and the M11, 5 minutes from St Margaret’s & Roydon train stations which have direct links to London and Cambridge and only a short 25 minute drive from Stansted Airport.

Our catering suggestions are based on great tasting food that you love to eat and cover a wide range of styles and budgets. Options include a formal served meal, family style sharing platters served to each table, generous buffet spreads and informal BBQs.

Our Fields

The Ha-ha

This is our largest field which has magnificent views of Stanstead Bury and the formal gardens surrounding it. With ample parking and capacity for a large marquee, this is the ultimate romantic setting for your special day.

Cuckoo Penn

Cuckoo Pen

For a truly rural backdrop, the Cuckoo Pen is our beautiful field with easy access via a hard drive from the farm onsite. Surrounded by farmland and hedgerows, this is the perfect peaceful setting for a natural and easy-going wedding day.

Household Mead

Situated just across the road is the very private Household Mead which is ideal for couples looking for a secluded setting. Offering charming views of the surrounding countryside, it’s the perfect location for an undisturbed and unforgettable day.

Our Marquees

From small intimate weddings to large exuberant celebrations, our wedding marquees are adaptable for your special occasion. Our professional teams will take care of all the setting up and our experienced event managers will ensure that everything is in place as it should be on the day. Choose from our four different types of marquee to suit your theme and number of guests and we will dress it with your choice of lining, floor and furniture. All are connected via a tunnel to the catering tent. In addition to our delicious home cooked catering, we will also provide all the extras including bar, event staff, flowers, decor and power. In all of our three fields there is ample parking and the option for your guests to camp overnight and we can provide showers along with the day event loos.

Traditional pole marquee

For a spacious and airy tent with a lovely high aspect, this is your classic marquee. Offering seated capacity from 90 up to 250 people and up to 300 for the evening.

Framed tent

Adaptable and very practical, our framed tents are modular in style and have lots of usable space with the option to add extra rooms on so they’re perfect for larger gatherings.


With varying sizes and capacity for 80 - 180 guests, tipis are the ever more popular style tent for our couples who would like something different for their special day.

Stretch Tent

Our stunning sail-look tents are fabulous as part of your wedding day and as a supporting structure they can complement your main tent as an extra bar or chill out area.

Our Food and Drink

From canapés and nibbles to a good old fashioned BBQ feast, evening buffets and mouth watering desserts, our experienced staff will be there to serve the most delicious and freshly prepared food to you and your guests throughout the day. Choose from our home-cooked wedding catering menus which we prepare using locally sourced ingredients and include formal served meals, sharing platters, family-style bowl food, scrumptious BBQs and tasty recipes from around the world bringing you a relaxed and informal alternative to the traditional wedding breakfast. We will create a menu especially for you which will cater for all of your guests and any dietary requirements or food allergies too.

If you and your guests are camping overnight, we’ll lay on a lovely breakfast and fresh brews of tea and coffee for campers to enjoy the next morning. Bacon sandwiches or Full English, you choose.

We will also provide all the glassware, staff and service on the day. From reception drinks, top ups during your meal, bubbly for the toast and the evening bar. We’re happy to serve your own alcohol and can accept delivery of your Sale or Return order and arrange transport to the venue so that everything is chilled and ready on the day.
